Here are some basic configuration checkpoint commands for Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, and MikroTik routers: Cisco:

  • show running-config - displays the current running configuration
  • show startup-config - displays the configuration that will be used at startup
  • copy running-config startup-config - saves the current running configuration to the startup configuration
  • show version - displays the router hardware and software version
  • show ip interface brief - displays a summary of the router's IP interfaces
  • show interface - displays detailed information about a specific interface
